Positiv Plus · short film · 1:00 · latest cut (v3)
Made around you.
A one-minute film built from the chair’s own CAD: 83 real parts drawn, assembled, lit and adjusted around a person
made of light. Below it are all the earlier cuts, from the first film to this one.
Five versions in order. Each one shows what changed and why.

A little more Positiv.
A miniature adventure across 14 chapters, rendered in Blender Cycles from the CAD chair: components, stitching, assembly,
a warehouse, a van through Sussex, delivery and setup highlights. It has a stop-motion cadence, captions and a synthesised score.
The same clean Blender frames, re-edited on a 120 BPM grid into three acts: Born, The journey, The fit. It adds a warm
British storyteller (“Every chair has a story…”), a new storybook score with a hush as the door opens, 21 timed sound
effects, a tilt-shift miniature look, a dotted route on the map and pinned labels. The photoreal office chapter was cut.
The re-cut, one frame per second.

From scratch · v1 · 1:00
Made around you.
A new idea, no reused renders. The construction file’s 83 meshes in 15 groups were exported and rendered in real-time 3D,
with every frame a pure function of time. The CAD edges plot a side elevation; the parts fly home one per beat and print solid;
a studio reveal; one adjustment per bar; all 83 pieces drift into a slow orrery and snap back. It has a felt-piano score and
foley made of the chair’s own clicks, hisses and ratchets.
The first render test: CAD lines plotting, then printing solid.The first pass, one frame per second.

v2 · adding “you”
A person made of light.
“Around you” made literal. A translucent manikin, not a realistic human, so it never looks uncanny next to precise CAD. It is
fitted to measurements taken from the chair itself: seat top, backrest face, armpads and headrest. The chair starts badly
fitted and each bar fixes one thing, with the legs re-solving so the feet stay planted. The person fades out on “Made around you.”
The same moment in v1 and v2.

v3 · corrections after review · current
Every part where it belongs.
Your note: “the neck rest is floating in front of the chair until adjusted.” The cause was that all 15 CAD groups share one origin near the floor,
so any tilt or resize swung a part around that point. Every move now pivots on the part itself. A full frame-by-frame review also fixed:
the lumbar pump drifting as it “breathed”;
exploded parts spinning about the floor point;
a “seat depth” start position that pushed the cushion into the backrest;
the whole armrest, bracket included, moving instead of just the pads;
one black aluminium leg (a material setting the CAD can’t support);
three framing clashes.
The headrest in v2 and v3.The five-star base in v2 and v3.
Adjustment distances in the films are illustrative, not specifications. The production journey in the original is imagined, and the setup
scenes show highlights only, not full assembly instructions.
